kiira and james greene part dos

So after the long 6 hour plane ride, waiting in the long car rental line, we finally made our way to the Sheraton Hotel, which is down the street from Stanford University. When I got to my room I saw a bunch of people wearing Olympic swimming tee shirts in my hallway. I didn't think much of it till breakfast the next morning when my aunt told me that she spoke to a coach for the team. Apparently the men and women US Olympic swim team have been staying at the hotel training at Stanford for the past few weeks, pretty cool.
Here are some more pics from the wedding, enjoy!

Argyle socks for the wedding party!!! Very nice :)

Part of the reception was outdoors so umbrellas were provided to the guest. Here's my mom and aunts shading themselves. LOL

Rockin some sun flare with the place cards

Cool umbrellas right!

The best man, Dru, gave one of the funniest toast I heard to date.

Nice way of saying " STAY OUT OF THE CUPCAKE ROOM".

Oh and these small little cupcakes were slamming. I had a few, maybe 6 or 8, which I figured equals one regular size cupcake.

Beautiful Kiira and her father

kiira and james greene, Palo Alto, CA

Here's a sneak preview of my cousin Jame's wedding in California. I came out here this past Thursday and I haven't put my camera down yet. Kiira and James are such an awesome couple and I'm extremely excited for them. I first met Kiira a few years ago at my wedding. I had a funny feeling it wouldn't be to long before these two would be getting married. This weekend has been such a great time meeting new friends from Scotland and reuniting with family.
This is little Jake showing off his brown converse sneaks before the wedding.
This wedding was at this cool house in Palo Alto, Ca in the backyard, under shade which was so awesome.

James during an emotional few words that he had for Kiira

I have plenty more pictures but just wanted to put up a few for now.
Congrats to both of you!!! I had such an awesome time.

amanda and jeff's wedding

This past weekend I went on a little road trip to a little place called Shelburne, Vermont.  The great Amanda Harris, from Orchard Cove photography, got married to Jeff Herzberger (a rocket scientist)  How cool is that!!  Daria from Daria Bishop photography had the honor of covering the wedding, I cant wait to see her pictures.  But I do have to say that this wedding had probably the most coverage I've ever seen.  Besides Daria and her husband Andy there was Carla and Justin and Mary.
Be sure to check out Carla's, Justin and Mary's and Daria's blog for other awesome shots
Here are some of the my favs from the day.
Here's Jeff waiting for Amanda

Just as Amanda started to walk down the isle I focused on Jeff

Amanda's father

Amanda's brother giving a very touching speech

This location was so beautiful, everyone was back lit, making for some fun shadows

Love the best mans reaction to the kiss.

Amanda and Jeff CONGRATS!!!!! I had a awesome time.  Talk to you soon : )

BoB aNd JeN anniversary shOOt

This past Sunday Carla and I had a wicked fun anniversary shoot with jen and bob.  We were headed up to Carla's friends house, who has horses, when we came across this cool grassy field.  It was a total violation and blatant disregard of the multiple, "clearly posted" No trespassing signs around the property.  Carla insisted we trespass, and possibly face a slew of criminal charges, for the sake of photography.

So I was only able to take a few pictures of bob and jen in the field due to a very irate citizen concerned about us being in the field.  So Carla forced me to go speak with the guy and plead with him not to call the po-po.  After dazzling him with my charming ways he agreed that involving the "boys" was not a good idea.
When then made it up to Julia's horse farm which was freakin awesome.  I knew that both Jen and I were in our glory.  I never really got to close to a horse before, which I must admit they were very intimidating at first.
This is one of the shots I got from the parking lot of Starbucks, one of my favorite places, Starbucks not the parking lot.  Carla emailed me a great picture that she took of me shooting in the location but I can't get into my email right now, dam Apple and their maintenance bull crap.  I'm starting to take to the idea of shooting in the least desirable of areas and making it work, which I think it did.  Carla and I got some cool pics from here.
I think this guy was either jealous or mad that jen and bob were in his stall.

This horse, or living lawn mower, mowed down a large section of grass in no time. It was awesome, but I don't think I have a big enough yard for one, DAM. So Julia if your ever around East Hartford bring yours horses on by, please!!

While driving around Carla went crazy over this next location, which had beautiful light and a electrical fence, AWESOME!  NO trespassing here I guess

Our last stop was some random corn field in Simsbury. It was fun to shoot here, watching how nervous Jen and Carla were because of the creepy animal noises.  And I guess pointing out the crazy paw impression, with super huge sharp claws, didn't help matters.

Bob and Jen, you guys were awesome and very easy to work with, naturals in front of the lens. Thanks for making it such a fun time.
